I went in and there was only a few people there when I got there, but they were still proactive and had someone come out and do a prescreen to make sure you had what you needed! I was only there about 15 minutes in total. Very nice staff and atmosphere.

The Lexington Mo. DMV is a Great place to get everything done! They get you in and out Fast and the Staff is Wonderful. There's other offices closer to home but it's worth the drive!!

So backward, I can’t believe licenses can’t be renewed online. This probably the last state in the US that requires people to inconvenience themselves to sit at a license bureau all day for such a trivial task.

Quick knowledgeable and right across from the county courthouse. They need an electronic check in. They still use paper tickets.

As far as visits to the DMV are these days, the ladies in this office have it figured out!! I especially appreciate the lady who meets with you before being called to the counter to make sure you have all the proper documentation. She is super friendly as well!! Plenty of shade and seating while waiting outside the office. I was there early this morning and it took me about an hour and a half, but there were a lot more people waiting when I left so I'd say their visits would be more like 2+ hours.

They were pleasant and did the best that they could with the help that they had. When the end of the month or especially the end of the year and month come together at the same time, its kinda of a perfect storm. If I were king for a day, license offices would be granted on performance NOT as political favors.

I just want to give a shout out to the Lexington License Office. I went there this morning with my 1 Year old and we had quite a bit of a wait. By the time I got called he was not having anything to do with that place anymore. He was tired and screaming, having a full-blown meltdown and the gals working there were so kind to me and understanding and when I went up to take my photo for my license one of them stopped what she was doing and held him for me. They were so nice and encouraging even though I was visibly trying to do everything I could to keep my baby calm and I'm sure everybody in the building was excited for us to leave finally. But I appreciate their kindness and would definitely recommend that office. aside from that, they were quick and efficient and I much more satisfied leaving that office than I have the other DMVs in Jackson county.

I've stood in line for awhile just to be turned away because I didn't have a printed personal property tax receipt. I learned from the Warrensburg DMV that they can easily look up your receipt online. So instead of taking a few seconds to look it up, they made me get out of line to go across the street and pay the collectors office to print a copy. Then of course I had to get back in line again. They can also look up your insurance.
